Joseph Cafagna, 35, received a three-year term for possession of the semi-automatic pistol, which police seized from a pocket of his jacket in his front hall closet.
The Duncairn Crescent resident got a concurrent one-day sentence for selling an ounce of cocaine to an undercover agent of the police and for possessing the proceeds of crime.
Ontario Court Justice Tim Culver gave Cafagna the customary double credit for six months of pretrial custody, making his sentence equivalent to four years."
