Hells Angels and rival gangs such as the Bandidos and Outlaws plan to bring their brand of terror to Scotland.

Violent motorcycle gangs from Eastern Europe may be targetting Scotland, expert cop warns - The Daily Record: "VIOLENT motorcycle gangs from eastern Europe are heading to Scotland in a bid to seize control of the drugs trade.
Police have warned that Hells Angels and rival gangs such as the Bandidos and Outlaws plan to bring their brand of terror to Scotland.
Bike gangs from Bulgaria, Croatia, Hungary, Greece and the Czech Republic believe Scot land is an 'untapped market'.
Yesterday, Detective Sergeant David Wilson - Scottish liaison to the Europeal police agency Europol - warned: 'They are the Mafia in leather jackets.
'They a real worldwide network that can supply drugs and firearms.
'The gangs are involved in prostitution and extortion and they will control a town.'
Wilson, based at Europol HQ in The Hague, revealed: 'There is probably about 500 of these gangs in Europe.
'They have not hit the UK or Scotland - but it is probably only a matter of time before they do.'
The team at Europol gave the Record unprecedented access to their headquarters in the Hague, Holland, to witness firsthand their war on the underworld.
One of their main tasks is identifying the criminal threats of the future - and biker gangs are one of their key concerns.
Europol director general Rob Wainwright said: 'These gangs are certainly responsible for a large amount of criminal activity and in some cases a very serious criminal activity, including drug trafficking.
'There are many investigations which show these gangs are using affiliation as a cover for criminal activity.'
Wainwright said the spread of the bike gangs in south east Europe was significant.
He added: 'In the UK, the picture has not changed yet."

Rock Machine bikie gang police stumble upon bikie weapons cache

Police stumble upon bikie weapons cache: "random police stop in Crawley has uncovered a cached of high-powered weapons that police believe were destined to be used by feuding Perth bikie gangs.
Organised crime Detective Superintendent Charlie Carver said the weapons, including a semi-automatic and high-powered guns, would likely have been used by the Rock Machine bikie gang against their rivals the Rebels.
Tensions have been heightened between the two gangs with members squaring off at the Fremantle Yacht Club on the weekend. Earlier this month, a Rebel gang member's tattoo parlour was also firebombed with Molotov cocktails."

Four men linked to the Kelowna Hells Angels are expected to appear in a Salmon Arm court

Four men linked to the Kelowna Hells Angels are expected to appear in a Salmon Arm court this week after the RCMP found a cache of weapons during a routine traffic stop Thursday night.
The police found a large cache of weapons in the possession of four Hells Angels when they pulled them over for speeding. The officer smelt marijuana which was just cause for a search of the car. Only our brain dead judicial system will likely say the search was in violation of their charter right and let them go free again. The charter doesn’t give them the right to speed after smoking a blunt with a cache of firearms in their vehicle.
Note that these “patch” members were driving a car not riding a motorcycle. The items seized included several firearms, including a sawed-off shot gun, a large quantity of ammunition, and three handguns. There was also bullet-proof vests, balaclavas, a baseball bat, an axe handle, knives, bear spray and a radio jamming device designed to block outgoing transmissions.
Facing a series of charges are full-patch member Joseph Bruce Skreptak, 43; and associates Carl Ennis, 39, Dennis Miner, 35 and Cory Montemurro, 40.
Skreptak is a former member of the East End Chapter who was one of the first to move to Kelowna to set up a “charter” of the notorious biker gang there. That chapter formally opened in the summer of 2007.
Keane said all four arrested were “sporting insignia of the Hells Angels organization.”
East Vancouver chapter members living in the Kelowna retirement village starting shit all over the province. What are we supposed to do? We either take up arms or lobby the government to enforce the law because they are not doing it in BC. Just ask McLean’s.
They had guns. They were wearing Hells Angels colours. This wasn’t just four men. The Hells Angels as an organization need to be tried with the firearm violation. This was not the first offence for that organization in BC. Randy Potts was found with six guns, four silencers and four grenades. The entire organization should get a lifetime firearm ban that needs to be enforced.
Gun crimes carry a maximum 10-year and a mandatory minimum one-year sentence. Parliament enacted a mandatory three-year minimum for the gun crimes in May 2008. So now we need mandatory minimum sentences for the use of a firearm to commit a crime and for the possession of a firearm after a lifetime ban was issued.

Gypsy Jokers president Ralph Kometer charged over $600,000 meth bust | Perth Now

Gypsy Jokers president Ralph Kometer charged over $600,000 meth bust | Perth Now: "GYPSY Jokers president Ralph Kometer and a bikie associate have been charged after 1.36kg of methamphetamine was uncovered in a vehicle stop last night. Gang Crime Squad detectives intercepted the vehicle, allegedly being driven by Mr Kometer, along the Great Southern Highway at the Lakes about 6pm.

It will be alleged that the drugs were uncovered in the vehicle after a search by Gang Crime detectives and the police dog squad.

Last night, police raided properties in Ryde St, Gosnells and Edgar St, Kalgoorlie.
Detective Inspector Paul McMurtrie, from the Gang Crime Squad, said the purity of the drugs had yet to be examined but estimated the total value to be just under $600,000."

"ongoing, simmering tensions" between the Rebels and the Rock Machine

Police have charged three bikies with disorderly conduct following a fight in Fremantle amid simmering tensions between the Rebels and the Rock Machine outlaw motorcycle gangs.

Police allege that at 8.50am (WST) on Friday a 39-year-old Rebel confronted a 26-year-old member of the Rock Machine and a fight broke out.

They allege another 26-year-old Rock Machine member became involved before police intervened and arrested the three men.

The incident follows the attempted firebombing of a Rebels-run Perth tattoo parlour on November 16.

Police believe that incident was linked to a gang turf war over the lucrative illegal drug trade in Western Australia.

The remains of two crude firebombs were found and minor damage was caused at the premises of Ink Assault Tattoos at Bibra Lakes in Perth's south.

Detective Superintendent Charlie Carver told reporters there were "ongoing, simmering tensions" between the Rebels and the Rock Machine, a group that had originated in Canada and was trying to establish a foothold in WA.

He said the illegal drug trade in WA was a very lucrative and fought-over market, with $5000 of drugs bought in Sydney selling for three times that amount in the west.

Charges dropped against son of OC biker club chief | Washington Examiner: "son of a Christian motorcycle club leader in Orange County has had charges dismissed after pleading guilty to possessing a deadly weapon for carrying brass knuckles.
Matthew Aguilar's lawyer says a prosecutor dismissed the misdemeanor case Monday because Aguilar had stayed out of trouble for six months.
Attorney Lloyd Freeberg tells City News Service it was the right decision.
Aguilar is the son of Phillip Aguilar, who founded the Anaheim-based Set Free Soldiers. They and others were charged after a bar brawl with Hell's Angels in Newport Beach two years ago that ended with two stabbings.
The elder Aguilar pleaded guilty to illegally owning ammunition and got probation.
Another man got eight years for attempted murder and other crimes."

Angels swept clubhouse for police bugs every week - thestar.com

Angels swept clubhouse for police bugs every week - thestar.com: "Toronto Hells Angels swept their fortified clubhouse for police listening devices before their weekly meetings, which they called “church” sessions, court heard.
“I would have bug detection equipment,” said David Atwell, a former executive member of the club, who worked as a paid police agent against the club for 18 months between 2005 and 2007.
Atwell, a former security guard supervisor and salesman at a spy equipment shop, told the drugs and guns trial of five Toronto Hells Angels that he also upgraded the security camera system around the clubhouse.
He noted that the clubhouse at 498 Eastern Ave. had a sliding steel front door and concrete pillars — disguised as flower planters — to slow down police battering rams.
The clubhouse was shut down by police in April 2007, at the end of Atwell's time as a police undercover agent."

Hells Angels gang patch challenge heard in court | Stuff.co.nz

Hells Angels gang patch challenge heard in court | Stuff.co.nz: "Lawyers for the Hells Angels Motorcycle Club have launched their bid, in the High Court at Whanganui, to see the city's controversial gang patch ban struck out.
A judicial review of the bylaw began this morning before Justice Denis Clifford.
Lawyers on behalf of Auckland-based gang member Philip Schubert are arguing the Wanganui District Council overstepped its powers when it introduced the bylaw last September.
Under the legislation, people wearing gang insignia in Wanganui could be fined $2000 and have the insignia confiscated.
One of Schubert's lawyers Duncan Webb said by banning gang patches from all city streets, the council had basically introduced a prohibition, which was not a power granted to it by parliament.
It was also a breach of the Bill of Rights Act, which the council failed to take into consideration when drafting the bylaw, he said."

Hells Angel testifies against his own | Toronto & GTA | News | Toronto Sun

Hells Angel testifies against his own | Toronto & GTA | News | Toronto Sun: "former Hells Angels executive who once had the job of ensuring security from police detection admitted he became an agent dedicated to busting his biker brothers.
David Atwell was the former sergeant-at-arms — the man in charge of security — for the Toronto Hells Angels motorcycle club a few years ago.
The burly biker was supposed to ensure their meetings were secure and safe from police surveillance or wire-tapping.
Atwell began testifying Tuesday against three executives and two members of the Toronto chapter who are accused of drug and gun trafficking conspiracy charges.
He described the inner workings of the outlaw biker gang, including the sign language and coded terms they used to evade detection from the police.
John “Winner” Neal, president of the downtown Toronto Hells Angels Club (HAMC), vice-presidents Larry Pooler and Douglas Myles, and members Mehrdad “Juicy” Bahman and Lorne Campbell face various criminal conspiracy charges connected to trafficking of cocaine, liquid ecstasy and guns in 2005 through 2007. They are also charged with the commission of the same crimes in association with a criminal organization, the Hells Angels.
Neal and Pooler, both 60, Campbell, 62, Bahman, 48, and Myles, 54, have pleaded not guilty to these charges.
Atwell, who used to sell cocaine at a Scarborough restaurant frequented only by associates and affiliates, said he had no fear of being caught. And Atwell also told the jury he had no worries that other drug dealers would dare try to sell inside his designated location.
“As a Hells Angels (member) you get scrutinized as they take great efforts to ensure there are no police officers who get into the club — no one infiltrates,” said Atwell."

Inside the Hells Angels | Toronto & GTA | News | Toronto Sun

Inside the Hells Angels | Toronto & GTA | News | Toronto Sun: "No rips and no rats.
Those are two of the cardinal rules that govern the members of the outlaw Hells Angels Motorcycle Club (HAMC).
Federal Crown attorney Tanit Gilliam said club members are expected to never “rip off” fellow bikers or associates in drug deals or testify — in biker jargon, “rat” — against one another.
In 2005, Merhdad “Juicy” Bahman, a full-patch member received 600 litres of GHB — liquid ecstasy — from a B.C. resident known as “Moe” who was a friend of the local Haney chapter of Hells Angels, said federal Crown Tanit Gilliam in her opening to the jury.
Bahman, who was selling smaller quantities to a police agent had been storing it at a friend’s Toronto home. Police secretly seized 350 litres of the drug, making it appear as if it had been stolen, said Gilliam.
This caused quite a stir as the GHB was worth $100,000, court heard.
The seizure resulted in Bhaman “being unable or unwilling to pay ‘Moe’ for the drugs,” said Gilliam.
But several Toronto chapter executives — John Neal, Douglas Myles and Larry Pooler — intervened to resolve the outstanding debt.
They had to “protect the good name and brand image of Hells Angels in Toronto. Bahman had breached the cardinal rule,” said Gilliam.
John “Winner” Neal, the club president, was instrumental in negotiating a settlement with “Moe” as Neal travelled to B.C. with at least $20,000 payment towards that debt."

Hells Angels sensed a traitor infiltrated their ranks, court hears | Canada | News | London Free Press: "Police shut down an undercover operation against Toronto's Hells Angels when the outlaw bikers sensed a traitor infiltrated their ranks, a Superior Court jury heard on Monday.
David Atwell, an executive officer with the motorcycle club, worked secretly as an undercover paid police agent for 18 months, Crown Attorney Tanit Gilliam said in her opening statement at the trial of five Hells Angels.
Atwell comes with a chequered past and was still using cocaine 'on a handful of occasions throughout this project' known as Project Develop, which began in the spring of 2005."

Bay's seedy underbelly exposed | Fraser Coast News | Local News in Fraser Coast | Fraser Coast Chronicle

Bay's seedy underbelly exposed | Fraser Coast News | Local News in Fraser Coast | Fraser Coast Chronicle: "ORGANISED crime on the Fraser Coast has been given a major shake-up in the past month and Hervey Bay police have a message for the region's drug chiefs and their mules – expect more of the same.
On July 1 Hervey Bay CIB joined with Task Force HYDRA and teams from the State Crime Operations Command to form Operation Ice Bobcat.
The aim of the operation was to target organised crime linked to outlaw motorcycle gangs in Hervey Bay.
Through telephone intercepts, covert police officers and surveillance police gathered evidence including cash, drugs and valuable intelligence information on local drug rings.
On October 28, a team of 26 police from CIB, HYDRA, the Bomb Squad, Corrective Services officers and numerous drug and firearm detection dogs executed multiple simultaneous search warrants across Hervey Bay.
A number of offenders had already been arrested prior to that date and several more arrests followed."

Hells Angels smelled a rat in their midst - thestar.com

Hells Angels smelled a rat in their midst - thestar.com: "Police yanked the plug on an undercover operation against the downtown Toronto Hells Angels when the outlaw bikers smelled a traitor in their midst, a trial heard on Monday.
For 18 months, David Atwell, an executive officer with the motorcycle club, worked secretly as an undercover paid police agent, Crown Attorney Tanit Gilliam said in her opening remarks in the drugs and guns trial against five downtown Toronto Hells Angels.
“On many of these occasions, he was wearing a body-pack,” Gilliam told the jury on the opening day of the trial, which is expected to last several months.
Atwell consumed cocaine himself at points in the undercover operation, Gilliam said.
“It is anticipated that the agent (Atwell) will testify that he even used cocaine on a handful of occasions throughout this project,” Gilliam said.
The operation was halted after Myles grilled Atwell in February 2007 about his involvement in a number of cocaine and GHB deals done bad, court heard."

Hells Angels & Vagos motorcycle gangs: Judge sends shooting case back to Grand Jury - The Prescott Daily Courier - Prescott, Arizona

Hells Angels & Vagos motorcycle gangs: Judge sends shooting case back to Grand Jury - The Prescott Daily Courier - Prescott, Arizona: "Yavapai County Superior Court Judge William T. Kiger sent the Hells Angels shooting case back to the Grand Jury late Monday afternoon during a pre-trial conference.

But Kiger did not exonerate bail for the seven men with ties to the Hells Angels charged in the case or change the conditions of their release, in part because the Yavapai County Attorney's Office indicated it would send the case back to a Grand Jury soon.

Kiger's decision means that there are no charges filed currently against John Bernard, Kiley Hill, Kevin Christensen, Larry Scott, Michael Koepke, Robert Kittredge and Bruce Schweigert - who had been previously indicted in connection with the shooting between the Vagos and Hells Angels motorcycle gangs in an unincorporated area northwest of Chino Valley on August 21.

When Kiger made his decision, Schweigert and Bernard pumped their fists in the air. Afterwards the defendants and their attorneys talked outside the courthouse.

Ted S. Reed, the defense attorney for Bernard, wrote in his Oct. 1 motion that the state presented false and misleading testimony to the Grand Jury.

'What particularly jumps out and concerns me is the detective's comments to the Grand Jury that the other gang was a family-oriented group and this gang was a criminal enterprise,' Kiger said about the Grand Jury testimony. 'I'm having a real hard time getting around it.'"

2 Arrested on Drugs, Weapons Charges in Chino Valley

Bikies bailed on murder plot charge

Bikies bailed on murder plot charge: "Three Sydney bikies charged with conspiring to murder a member of a rival gang are to be released on bail.
In Sydney's Central Local Court today, magistrate Allan Moore received a 'by consent' application from Herbert Laupepa's lawyer and the Director of Public Prosecutions and agreed to the accused's release from remand, after the payment of a $150,000 surety.
Laupepa, 28, from Georges Hall in south-west Sydney, was arrested on October 26.
He was the sixth man to be charged with conspiring to murder Hells Angel Peter Zervas, who was shot more than six times outside his mother's home in Lakemba in March last year. Mr Zervas survived the attack.
The shooting came only a week after his brother, Anthony Zervas, was beaten to death in a brawl between the Comanchero and Hells Angels at Sydney Airport."

Ex-cop angry at views, treatment of Angels

Dear Editor: Ex-cop angry at views, treatment of Angels
Many memories raced through my head seeing the boarded up clubhouse, fenced off and abandoned. My thoughts turned to anger remembering how this clubhouse was the hub and a place to plan peaceful events that poured $$ millions back into the city's economy. The clubhouse had been seized under the B.C. Civil Forfeiture Act of 2007, which is nothing more than legalized theft of personal property.

My anger turned to sadness thinking about Zeke who disappeared in May of '93. It wasn't long for anger to return as I wondered how hard the RCMP are trying to solve Zeke's disappearance.

I'm a former cop who at first bought into the propaganda. Once I exercised critical thinking skills and learned about men like Zeke, I realized how narrow some opinions were and how laws have become one-sided, targeting individuals without cause, but rather because they fit the image police say, are the bad guys.

Contrary to public perception, mostly generated by law enforcement and ignorance, the Hells Angels are a club of motorcycle enthusiasts made up of very normal, law-abiding citizens -- fathers, brothers, a few grandfathers, working and retired, loving family men, who pay their taxes on time.

Slaying of ex-gangster 'payback' - Winnipeg Free Press

Slaying of ex-gangster 'payback' - Winnipeg Free Press: "former Hells Angels associate was shot dead inside his own home in what is believed to be a revenge attack connected with a previous Winnipeg homicide, the Free Press has learned.
'This was a hit,' a justice source familiar with the circumstances of the case told the Free Press late Monday.
The body of Daniel Benjamin Kachkan was found in his residence at 99 Barber St. just after 3 p.m. by his distraught ex-wife, Paddy, who was consoled by other family members who rushed to the home in Point Douglas. Sources say he was likely killed overnight.
Kachkan, 34, used to be a high-ranking member of the Zig Zag Crew, the so-called puppet club of the Hells Angels. He made headlines in 2005 when he was charged with killing fellow Zig Zag member Aaron Hannibal outside an Elmwood 7-Eleven store in broad daylight in what was deemed a violent internal gang dispute.
However, a jury found Kachkan not guilty in 2007 after the Crown had serious problems proving its case. Despite the fact more than a dozen people apparently saw Hannibal get stabbed, none was able to identify Kachkan as the culprit. Many others stayed silent or refused to testify and co-operate with police."
