member of the Hells Angels motorcycle club pleaded not guilty Monday to gun and drug charges.

Michael Ryan Fitzpatrick, 33, was booked into Spokane County Jail after his arraignment before U.S. Magistrate Cynthia Imbrogno in U.S. District Court in Spokane.

Fitzpatrick is charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm, conspiracy to manufacture 100 or more marijuana plants, conspiracy to distribute 500 grams or more of cocaine, conspiracy to distribute marijuana, distribution of cocaine and three counts of distribution of marijuana.

He faces up to 40 years in prison if convicted.

Fitzpatrick was arrested on a marijuana charge March 4, and Spokane County prosecutors never formally charged him. Now he’s at the Spokane County jail without bail on the federal indictments. A bail hearing is set Thursday.

Taylor Wolf worked with and even lived at home of Ricky Jenks.  Police said Jenks is known as 'The Enforcer' and was arrested in March after the Hells Angels club house was raided.  Now investigators are trying to figure out how involved Wolf was with the Hells Angels.
 
Investigators arrested Wolf at a Spokane Valley apartment.  Investigators said the Knotty Pines Apartment unit belongs to Ricky Jenks.  They believe Wolf and Jenks likely met while working at Fessco Fleet and Marine.  Their former employer, Marc Fessler said both of them worked at the shop at the same time.
People at the Knotty Pines apartments said Wolf was helpful.  Jenks' girlfriend said Wolf house sat their apartment.
"He was always working on cars.  He'd rake the neighbor's yard.  He seemed like a good kid," said neighbor Kristopher Gattman.
 
Jenks was arrested when federal agents raided the Hells Angels club house.  Investigators are not calling the Wolf-Jenks connection significant at this point. 
 
"We've heard rumors about that.  But that's something we haven't been able to confirm either," said Spokane County Sgt. Bill Beeman.
People who know Wolf said he has been seen at the Hells Angels club house.  But it does not mean he is a member.  People who know Wolf said he was not acting like himself the week of the murder.

former head of the Manitoba Hell's Angels has been convicted of six drug related charges.

A judge found Ernie Dew guilty of trafficking cocaine and possessing drug money in connection to three deals in 2005.

This was his second trial as he was awarded a new one on appeal.

Dew was arrested with a dozen other bikers and their associates as part of a year-long police sting.

Justice officials paid a career criminal, Dew's friend, $500,000 to make the drug deals with the bikers while wearing a recording device. Police also videotapped several of the meetings between Dew and the undercover agent.

No date for sentencing has been set, as Dew's lawyer is still set to bring arguments forward his client was illegally entrapped by the sting.

Hells Angels member Wayne Tweeddale has had his prison sentence increased by a year in the court of appeal.

Tweeddale was sentenced to a three-year jail term after pleading guilty to 10 charges when he appeared before Judge John Clapham in the Wanganui District Court in October 2010.

He was convicted of several offences, including assaults, wounding, possession of weapons, burglary and threatening to kill.

The crown appealed the conviction, and Tweeddale had his sentence increased to four years on March 30.

The charges stemmed from an incident on October 3, 2010, which turned violent when Tweeddale pulled a knife and a gun.

The Hells Angels biker gang is suspected of the brutal beating of a man after a Lauryn Hill concert Tuesday night at the Warfield Theatre, San Francisco police said Wednesday.

The victim and the group of about 10 bikers had been attending the Lauryn Hill concert at The Warfield when they got into an altercation in the lobby of the music venue, San Francisco Police Department  Sgt. Michael Andraychak said.

Two men, ages 35 and 39, were leaving the concert venue when they were approached by a group of about 10 men who were wearing Hells Angels jackets and had apparently also been at the concert, police Sgt. Mike Andraychak said.

One of the suspects asked the 35-year-old victim if he was a member of the Mongols, a rival motorcycle gang, police said.

“They heard somebody yelling from behind, ‘Aren’t you from the Mongols?’” Andraychak said.

The Hells Angels and Mongols are rival motorcycle clubs. Andraychak said neither victim is believed to be associated with any motorcycle gang.

The victims ran away and were chased by the suspects, who caught up with them and stabbed the 35-year-old man several times, police said.

Andraychak said the beating that followed “appears to be a case of mistaken identity.”

After one biker punched the man with a closed fist, several others joined in on the beating, Andraychak said. The victim’s injuries were serious but not life threatening, police said.

The suspects fled the scene on their motorcycles and had not been found as of Wednesday afternoon, Andraychak said.

They are described as white men in their 30s or 40s, at least one of whom had a full Hells Angels logo on his jacket, Andraychak said. Others had partial patches, signifying that they are "prospects or pledges" to the gang but are not yet full members, he said.

The two motorcycle gangs have a history of run-ins in San Francisco and throughout California, Andraychak said.

In 2008, Mark "Papa" Guardado, 46, was fatally shot outside a bar in The City's Mission District.

Guardado was the leader of the San Francisco chapter of the Hells Angels and his alleged shooter, Christopher Ablett, was a reputed member of the Mongols.

Federal murder and racketeering charges were filed against Ablett. The case is still pending in federal court.

Six suspected motorcycle gang members arrested in the wake of a 2009 bar fight in Preston appear to be moving closer to a trial.

Court records show that six men charged for their roles in the beating and stabbing of a Norwich man at the Brookside Cafe have continued to reject undisclosed offers in their cases. The cases are now on the trial list with an undetermined start date.

Records also show that senior assistant state’s attorney Vincent J. Dooley upgraded charges last month, charging each of the men with first-degree assault. The six men, “members of an organization known as the Legion of Doom, did intentionally cause serious physical injury,” to victim Kevin Kennedy, Dooley wrote.  

Police arrived at the former Brookside Cafe on Route 2A at 1:38 a.m. June 28, 2009, to find large groups of people scattering in all directions. Witnesses told police the six men had beaten Kennedy, who was hospitalized with multiple injuries, including a knife wound to his leg.

The fight started when Kennedy bumped one of the gang members, police said.

Witnesses said as many as 20 gang members spread out in different areas of the bar’s porch and started chanting, “LOD,” and “860,” code for “hands-on fight,” before rushing Kennedy, police said.

Kennedy, who was dragged outside the bar by friends, was followed by a group and repeatedly kicked and punched in the head while he lay on the ground, police said. Some witnesses said members of the group yelled racial slurs.

Witnesses said the accused men were speaking in code and wearing black leather vests with red, white and gray Legion of Doom patches on the backs of their vests.

The following men are now charged with first-degree assault:

Carlos Aguinaga Jr., 28, formerly of Gales Ferry; Michael C. Cavaluzzi, 25, of Peekskill, N.Y.; James C. Condict, 28, of 113 Georgia St. in Groton; Steven A. Franchino, 27, of Middle Village, N.Y.; Ricky T. Gray, 44, of Brooklyn, N.Y.; and Justin Schwartz, 28, of Flushing, N.Y.

Gray faces the most severe charges. He faces two counts of first-degree assault, tampering with evidence, inciting a riot and inciting injury to a person.   

Attorneys for the men, many of whom have filed motions for separate trials, could not be reached Thursday for comment.

Fourteen people are to appear in the Nelson District Court tomorrow following a major police operation aimed at preventing the Red Devils increasing their foothold in Nelson.

Police dogged the movements of visiting Hells Angels and other motorcyclists on their Saturday poker run, sending a clear message that new gangs are not welcome in the Nelson region.

Following on from Friday's raids, which led to the arrest of all the key Nelson members of Hells Angel offshoot the Red Devils, police stuck close to the patched gang members, their associates and supporters on the organised ride, varying from 60 to about 100 riders at various stages.

They issued 43 infringement notices and green stickered eight bikes, meaning they could be ridden home but then have to be taken off the road.

Fourteen people will appear in court tomorrow, and three have been remanded in custody until April 1.

About 350 people attended a Fight Night at the Trafalgar Centre on Saturday night which police said did not result in any incidents requiring their intervention.

They said the Hells Angels left town yesterday morning to catch a Cook Strait ferry.

The poker run cost $20 to sign up for and the proceeds were destined to go to Nelson private sports medicine and ambulance company Medimax, operated by former St John officer Maxwell Clark.

The Nelson Mail was told that the organisers of the poker run – an event in which each rider draws a card at a series of stops to make up a poker hand, with the winning hand to receive $1000 – had all been locked up after the raids at the Red Devils' headquarters and many private homes, and that there was confusion around its staging.

But it went ahead, with riders and passengers getting a briefing from a patched Hells Angel at Isel Park in Stoke before they set off for Mapua soon after noon.

They were told to expect no tolerance from the police for any traffic violations and that they should not race to catch up with other riders, should stick with the pack and observe temporary speed limits around road works.

There was a heavy police presence at Isel Park, where Nelson Bays area commander Brian McGurk mingled with the gang members and other riders, attempting to converse with them.

Hells Angel patches were prominent, with about a dozen worn. There was one man wearing a Headhunters patch and one Hells Angel also wore a Nomads patch. No other gang insignia was obvious.

None of the gang members agreed to be interviewed but one Hells Angel spoken to briefly before the ride pointed out Mr McGurk and said the heavy policing was because "that man has an illness".

He questioned the cost of the large police exercise on Friday and of Saturday's policing, saying that the money would be better spent on helping Christchurch recover.

He also suggested that there were more disgraced police in prison than Hells Angels.

"We've got 30-odd members in New Zealand and only two of them are in jail at the moment," he said.

The group, which included many Nelson motorcyclists including eight of the Black Horse Social Motorcycle Group's 14 members, went first to Mapua and gathered at both the Grossi Point reserve and at the Golden Bear Brewing Company's bar. Some bought hot food from children conducting a Christchurch earthquake fundraiser beside the bar. Many police were evident in and around Mapua and on the roads.

The run left for Kaiteriteri at 2pm, arriving to find that police cars blocked access to the store, petrol pumps and motor camp.

It left for Motueka at 3pm, with the group splitting up to take several different roads. A large contingent headed for the Moutere Inn on the inland highway, but found "closed – private function" signs at the turnoff and carried on to Appleby.

Just over the Appleby Bridge and just before their destination, the Traveller's Rest hotel, they were greeted by a large number of police, including armed offenders squad members wearing sidearms, and put through a checkpoint where they were breath-tested and had their motorcycles inspected. There were 14 police cars, some unmarked, the booze bus and a paddy wagon at that point. As well as numerous patrols following the motorcycles and cars stationed at strategic intersections, several police photographers were in action throughout the afternoon.

One middle-aged Hells Angel wearing a "vice president" badge and clearly a senior figure said he would not be interviewed because he did not trust the media to fairly and accurately report what he said.

Eleven defendants pleaded guilty to a charge of unlawful assembly when they appeared before Judge Christopher Harding in Tauranga District Court yesterday.

The nine who were fined were also ordered to each pay $132.89 in court costs. Two others have been sentenced to 40 hours' community work.

Police were alerted to tensions between the two gangs about 11.30am on February 5 after Filthy Few members wearing gang patches rode motorcycles into Matapihi - an area known to be occupied by Greasy Dogs.

After the Filthy Few members became involved in an altercation with a patched Greasy Dogs member on the roadside, members of the public called police.

The Filthy Few members rode off but were stopped a short time later riding around Matapihi.

About 3pm, about 20 Greasy Dogs members travelled to the Filthy Few gang pad at Birch Ave. An altercation followed between the two groups, during which police say some of the Filthy Few armed themselves with weapons including hammers, a spade and a baseball bat. When police arrived, the Greasy Dogs members began dispersing but 13 were arrested and charged with unlawful assembly.

The High Court has ruled Whanganui District Council's gang patch ban is unlawful.

The Hells Angels gang sought a judicial review of the ban, arguing the bylaw - banning the wearing of gang insignia in public in Whanganui - was invalid.

Justice Denis Clifford, in a judgment released today, said he had reached the same conclusion.

The bylaw did not specify which public places the ban applied, and was therefore invalid under national law, he said."

Ichikawa, 33, known as the 'prince' of kabuki, sustained serious injuries to his head and body requiring two months of treatment, according to the indictment.
The actor suffered a depressed fracture in his left cheekbone and lost a front tooth in the fight. Kabuki organisers have suspended him from performing for an indefinite period.
In the first hearing on the case at the Tokyo District Court, prosecutors asked Ito if there was any mistake in the indictment.
'No, there is none. It is alright,' Ito replied.

Baxter said when police got a warrant to search the home of Martin’s girlfriend on July 12, they found a letter from Martin stating he knows she has a lot of questions and he was going to answer them.

Kotsopoulos testified about the letter yesterday, Baxter said. In the letter, police learned Martin admitted to picking up Gibson and taking her to his Sandusky house to pick up possessions stored there and help her move, Baxter said last night."

Alleged gang member accused of firing on police: "Benny Ray Martin, 31, fired shots at a car near 58th and Genoa streets and then unleashed more gunfire at two police officers responding to the area at about 6:30 p.m. Saturday, said Officer Holly Joshi, an Oakland police spokeswoman.

The officers' car was hit, but they weren't injured and did not fire back, Joshi said.

Martin fled but was arrested in a car driven by parolee Anthony Perry, 20, of Oakland, Joshi said.

Both men were booked on suspicion of attempted murder. Perry is also being held on a parole violation. Both men are being held without bail.

Martin, an alleged North Oakland gang member, was released from federal prison three weeks ago after serving a four-year term for being a felon in possession of a firearm, court records show. Martin told police that he fired at officers because of unspecified personal issues and because he didn't want to go back to prison, Joshi said."

Brickey —- who was not a member of the gang — was told to leave. He climbed into his pickup and intentionally hit a motorcycle parked in the parking lot.

Bedsole, 40, then jumped into the back of another truck driven by another man. Bedsole told that man, Holguy Louissaint, to follow Brickey's truck so he could get the tag number, a police spokesman said at the time."

Strong police presence at bikie court appearance | Perth Now: "POLICE maintained a heavy presence at the Perth District Court today, amid fears an ongoing bikie feud would erupt between Rebels and Rock Machine bikie gangs.

The contingent of officers from the Gang Crime Squad and the Perth police station rallied at the Central Law Courts in Hay St at 12.30pm after concerns were raised that Rebels bikies were in close proximity to the rival gang, the Rock Machine.

Police said a member of the Rock Machine had been appearing in court today and there was concern the ongoing dispute would resurface.

One man, a Rebels member, was arrested for disorderly conduct outside the court, while a woman who was with the group at the time was taken into custody for failing to provide personal details to police.

They were taken to Curtin House, the detectives headquarters in Beaufort St, where other members of the gang waited outside while they were questioned by police.



Both the man and woman will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date."

The Court was also told she had reimbursed the trust accounts.

Supporters of Kingdon in the public gallery clapped when the judge said the jail term would be suspended."

In an indictment unsealed on Monday in federal court in San Jose, Clay H. Rojas, a five-year veteran of the Santa Clara police department, is charged in fraud and conspiracy counts with furnishing inside information to William 'Billy' Bettencourt, a suspected member of the Hells Angels Santa Cruz chapter. Rojas, the indictment alleges, provided the confidential information, such as criminal and DMV records, to Bettencourt.
The indictment also names Bettencourt and Viviana Rodriguez, who is accused of seeking Bettencourt's aid in getting the inside information. Bettencourt, who has a prior felony criminal record, already is in custody without bail on related state charges and faces life in prison under the 'three strikes' law.
For Rojas, 36, the indictment marks an escalation of a criminal investigation into the allegations involving the Hells Angels. He was charged in state court in October with a felony for allegedly feeding the material to Bettencourt. Now the feds have piled on the new charges."

Shawn Patrick Bailey, 36, Robert George Keller III, 35, Shawn Lee Muncy, 41, Gabriel Timothy Nader Jr., 25, and Dale Warren Smith, 52, were indicted on two felony counts of aggravated assault and one count each of riot and assisting in a criminal street gang. The defendants are expected to be arraigned before Superior Court Judge Steven Conn Jan. 10. Bailey, Muncy and Keller are from Bullhead City. Smith is from Mohave Valley. Nader is from Golden Valley.

Jeffrey Daniel Woods, 53, of Lake Havasu City, also was indicted on charges of misconduct involving weapons, possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is expected to be arraigned before Conn Jan. 6. Nick Bernard Prano, 54, also of Lake Havasu City, was indicted on a charge of possession of dangerous drugs. He is expected to be arraigned before Superior Court Commissioner Derek Carlisle Jan. 6."
