The deal came after the 3rd District Court of Appeal overturned their convictions."

Michael Pedini, a former “enforcer” for the Outlaws’ chapter in northern Maine, testified

Ex-biker gang member describes alleged ambush | Richmond Times-Dispatch: "An order by the national president of the Outlaws led members of the motorcycle gang to ambush and open fire on a Hells Angels member, leaving him partially paralyzed, one of the shooters testified Tuesday in federal court.

Michael Pedini, a former “enforcer” for the Outlaws’ chapter in northern Maine, testified that Jack “Milwaukee Jack” Rosga told him in 2009 to seek revenge on rival Hells Angels members for an assault of two Outlaws in Connecticut.

Rosga, one of four Outlaws now on trial in federal court in Richmond, told Pedini either to attack Hells Angels and strip them of their biker vests, a flagrant insult in the biker world, or kill them, Pedini testified.

Pedini testified that Rosga’s order meant that Pedini must “get two vests however you have to get them, or kill a Hells Angel.” Pedini said the conversation was between only him and Rosga and that it took place outside a clubhouse in Arkansas."

Angels giving US firms hell - Times LIVE

Angels giving US firms hell - Times LIVE: "notorious Hells Angels motorcycle gang has sued three fashion firms in the US, accusing them of stealing its widely recognised - and trademarked - winged skull logo.
The Alexander McQueen fashion house, the luxury retailer Saks and the shopping website Zappos.com have been selling expensive clothes, jewellery and accessories emblazoned with the insignia, says the lawsuit, which was filed in a Los Angeles court earlier this week.

Rosga is the leader of what federal prosecutors call a highly organized criminal enterprise responsible for a number of violent acts aimed at gaining an advantage over the rival Hell's Angels.

Gang members testify against former 'brothers' | Richmond Times-Dispatch

Gang members testify against former 'brothers' | Richmond Times-Dispatch: "David Lowry and Brian McDermott, both 50, of the Charlotte, N.C., and Hickory, N.C., Outlaws chapters, respectively, broke the gang's often-repeated warnings against snitching and testified at length, admitting that they hoped to win lesser prison sentences after earlier pleading guilty.
On trial in U.S. District Court in Richmond are Jack 'Milwaukee Jack' Rosga, 53, the Outlaws' national president; William 'Rebel' Davey, 46; Mark 'Lytnin'' Spradling, 52; and Leslie Werth, 47. In addition to the racketeering and conspiracy charges, Davey and Werth are charged with using violence in the aid of racketeering and firearms offenses.
Authorities allege the Outlaws ran a criminal enterprise that engaged in attempted murder, kidnapping, assault, robbery, extortion, witness intimidation, drug distribution, illegal gambling and weapons offenses. The trial began last week, and prosecutors said yesterday that they may call their last witness today.
Last year, not long after his parole ended for Outlaws-related federal racketeering convictions in 1998, Lowry was elected the boss of the Outlaws' Copper region, which includes Virginia and North Carolina and is one of the club's 10 regions in the U.S.
The runner-up in the election, and the man he replaced, was Werth, who sat a few feet away from the witness stand with the other defendants. Lowry said he was uneasy that the Outlaws had opened a chapter in Rock Hill, S.C."

Mom Boucher stabbed in prison brawl: reports

Mom Boucher stabbed in prison brawl: reports: "high-ranking member of the Hells Angels currently serving three life sentences in a Montreal-area jail was reportedly one of two men stabbed within the facility on Saturday.
Various media outlets are reporting that Maurice (Mom) Boucher received only minor injuries in the altercation in the Ste. Anne des Plaines detention centre.
Sûreté du Québec spokesperson Claude Ross confirmed the SQ responded to reports of an incident in the facility, where Boucher has been held for the past eight years, at around 3:15 p.m. There were four men involved in the altercation, Ross said, and two were injured. When the SQ arrived to escort them to hospital, they refused, leading investigators to conclude their wounds were not severe.
Investigators were still on the scene Saturday night meeting with all four men, Ross said. He could not confirm if Boucher was involved in the incident.
Boucher, the former leader of the Hells Angels' Montreal chapter, was convicted in 2002 of ordering the deaths of prison guards in an attempt to intimidate Quebec justice officials.
He survived a previous attack involving a makeshift knife in the prison's common room later that same year. Boucher was only slightly injured, but his attacker was stabbed 21 times by five other inmates who rushed to Boucher's aid."

$1.8 million in the past 18 months for Hells Angels bikers charged with murder

Taxpayers foot $1.8M legal aid bill for Hells Angels | Canada | News | Toronto Sun: "Quebec taxpayers have dished out $1.8 million in the past 18 months for Hells Angels bikers charged with murder, drug trafficking and gangsterism.
The province’s legal services agency released the numbers in its annual report this week. It shows that Quebecers paid the amounts for lawyers in private practice, mainly to defend bikers arrested in Project SharcQc.
The April 2009 police operation dealt a crippling blow to the Hells Angels in Eastern Canada. A total of 133 suspects face charges, including first-degree murder, gangsterism, drug trafficking and conspiracy to commit murder. They’ll be tried en masse to cut down on the number of legal proceedings.
Others who hired defence lawyers on the public purse included drug traffickers on Quebec’s north shore who were eventually convicted in a two-year-long mega-trial in Quebec City. The defence lawyers in that case billed the government for extra hours given the length and complexity of the case."
