Hells Angels in B.C. have smuggled ecstasy into the United States by jet ski.

Christopher Walters, 41, was arrested last year after making statements to co-conspirators in the drug case that he was getting paid $30,000 a load to smuggle drugs across the border for the Hells Angels.
Police found about $2 million worth of ectasy in a storage locker when he kept a 19-foot boat that the U.S. Coast Guard had observed in Bellingham Bay under suspicious circumstances last summer.
U.S. District Judge James L. Robart heard that Walters had picked up load in an isolated cove in the San Juan Islands where it had been delivered by the HA.
“We need to have sentences that put people on notice in the U.S. and Canada that this conduct will not be tolerated," Robart said at Monday's sentencing hearing.A Washington state man was sentenced to 14 years in jail for his role in a drug-smuggling operation linked to the powerful B.C. biker gang.

John Giampetruzzi, 41, was found dead on the sidewalk

gunman fatally shot an outlaw biker in the head in Queens Saturday and then calmly walked away, witnesses and police sources said.

John Giampetruzzi, 41, was found dead on the sidewalk on 28th St. near Ditmars Blvd. around 5 a.m. Police sources described him as an ex-con and a member of the Hells Angels.

"I came outside and saw a man dead on the sidewalk," Phillip Graham, 56, said. "You couldn't even see what the poor man looked like because of the bullets."

Neighbors said the gunman - who is still on the lam - approached the heavily tattooed biker, pumped his face full of lead and stomped on his head before walking away.

Sources said Giampetruzzi had several prior arrests, including a slew of burglary pinches and drug-related busts. He was convicted of second-degree murder in 1989, the sources said.

The shooting Saturday rattled residents, who never imagined such a crime could happen on their Astoria block.

"I've lived here 30 years and have never seen this kind of violence," said Margarita Diakakos, 54. "To see a man shot dead on your street makes you afraid."

The early-morning shooting was the latest in a series of unrelated murders in less than seven hours beginning late Friday.

At about 10:40 p.m. Friday, cops found a woman's body in an alley in St. Albans, Queens. Sources said her battered body had ligature marks on her wrists and arms, suggesting she had been tied up. Her death was ruled a homicide after the medical examiner said the unidentified woman died of internal bleeding, sources said.

The woman had two tattoos - "Zoe" on her lower right arm and "Libra" on her left chest - cops said.

Hours later, around about 2:15 a.m. yesterday, a 41-year-old man was beaten to death across the borough, police said.

Police said Juan Paucar, 24, and Brandon Perez, 23, chased Jose Cortes, a Mexican immigrant, from La Nortena on Roosevelt Ave. in Corona. The pair caught up to Cortes about a block away and used a belt and a chain to beat him to death, cops said. Both men were charged with manslaughter and possession of a weapon.

At 3:40 a.m., a 20-year-old man and his 18-year-old gal pal were attacked by a knife-wielding maniac in the Bronx, cops said. Troynisha Harris was sitting on a stoop with the young man on E. 166th St., in front of the Forest Houses in Morrisania when a man jumped out of a black Lincoln Town Car and ambushed them, sources said.

The man only got a gashed stomach, but Harris died at Lincoln Hospital. Police haven't made an arrest.

Another bizarre death in the area, apparently unrelated, has been linked to the Hell’s Angels.

Police in Kristiansand on Norway’s southern coast were calling in national crime unit Kripos to help investigate a murder that reportedly resembles an execution. Another bizarre death in the area, apparently unrelated, has been linked to the Hell’s Angels.
Alarms rang on Thursday when police were called to the banks of the river flowing through Kristiansand, the Otra. There they found the body of a Norwegian man in his 20s.
Newspaper Aftenposten reported Friday that the man apparently had been shot in the head and then had his throat cut at a nearby apartment. His body was then believed to have been thrown in the river.
Another man was stabbed in the apartment, but survived. Police reportedly think the violence is linked to loan sharks demanding money from their victims.
Meanwhile, police were also called this week to an old power station in Vennesla, just north of Kristiansand, where a man was found drowned in a turbine tank. Another man was found beaten, but TV2 and other media reported the dead man and two others were linked to the Hell’s Angels motorcycle and were allegedly beating the victim when one of them fell into the tank and drowned.

Dangerous to release Ali Chaouk because of his bikie connections and his family’s war with a rival family, the Haddaras.

Dangerous to release Ali Chaouk because of his bikie connections and his family’s war with a rival family, the Haddaras.
Mr Chaouk, 30, is awaiting trial, charged over the bashing of a German tourist at the Hells Angels Nomads clubhouse in September last year.
Police allege Mr Chaouk helped a Hells Angels member – who is yet to be charged – to beat Faisol Aakbari after discovering the 18-year-old was not a club member.
The Supreme Court yesterday heard the brutal attack with a baseball bat was recorded by police, who were tapping Mr Chaouk’s phone.
Det Sgt Ben Condon said up to 10 blows and screaming could be heard in the background of a call between Mr Chaouk and Nomads member Paul Petersen.
One of the attackers is allegedly heard to yell at Mr Aakbari, "You’re not a Hells Angel."
The victim suffered a fractured skull and ribs in the beating, and was robbed.
The court heard Mr Chaouk was not a fully fledged Nomads member but a "hang-around", the lowest level of association.
But Justice King said he was well enough connected to make regular calls to other senior members, including 13 calls to the high-ranking Ray Hamment Jr from prison.
The court was told Mr Chaouk claimed 36 blank passports, guns and ammunition found at his family’s Brookyln home earlier this month were his.
Two of his brothers have also claimed ownership of the items. "I know how to work the system," Mr Chaouk allegedly said.
Justice King said it was insulting to suggest bail conditions such as giving up his passport could reduce the risk of Mr Chaouk fleeing when he had access to stolen blank passports.
She said she feared members of the public could also be caught up in the Chaouk-Haddara hostilities, in which shots had already been fired.
While an expected delay of at least another year before trial was of concern, Justice King said the risks to the public and the victim’s family were too great and she refused bail.

Sydney-based crime gang Notorious and bikie gangs Lone Wolf and Rock Machine were eyeing off the state's drug market.

Sydney-based crime gang Notorious and bikie gangs Lone Wolf and Rock Machine were eyeing off the state's drug market.
Mr Anticich told an Australian Association of Crown Prosecutors conference the state's strong economy provided an attractive market for organised crime groups.
"Their primary target is West Australians with a high level of disposable income who are likely to engage in experimentation and drug misuse," he said.
"What we are seeing now is a criminal environment that is dynamic, resilient and better networked than ever before."
Interest from the gangs was being fuelled by the fact the price of one ounce of methylamphetamine - or speed - in WA fetched almost double the price that it did in NSW, Mr Anticich said.

Police intelligence suggested Lone Wolf and Notorious had not yet established themselves in WA while Rock Machine was close to setting up a chapter.
Mr Anticich told the conference WA currently had seven outlaw bikie gangs with a total of 293 members.

Extortionist gets six months added to his prison term - The Whig Standard - Ontario, CA

Extortionist gets six months added to his prison term - The Whig Standard - Ontario, CA: "Ian Matthew Grant was originally sentenced in Winnipeg to 15 years in prison, but was given credit for 30 months of pretrial custody, leaving him with 12 1/2 years to serve. The court additionally ordered forfeiture of the $63,000 recovered from a safety deposit box that police discovered during their investigation.
Grant was also fined another $118,000, with the stipulation that if he failed to pay it within two years, a further two years would be added to his prison sentence. The fine had not been paid as of June 2009, when the Supreme Court declined to hear an appeal of his conviction.
Grant pleaded guilty in Kings -ton's Ontario Court of Justice Tuesday to two counts of possessing proceeds of crime that were still outstanding from his original case, one relating to more than $5,000 in Canadian currency derived from his drug trafficking activities and the other to more than $5,000 derived from his extortion activities"

Riding with Hells Angel Sonny Barger | Jacket Copy | Los Angeles Times

Riding with Hells Angel Sonny Barger | Jacket Copy | Los Angeles Times: "In 1957, Sonny Barger helped found the Oakland, Calif., chapter of the Hells Angels, the outlaw motorcycle club. Barger became a leading figure of the group, which played a major cultural role in the 1960s. Barger himself appeared in Hunter S. Thompson's 1966 'Hell's Angels' and was at the disastrous 1969 concert at Altamont. Barger has been arrested more than 20 times and spent 13 years in jail.
Today, Barger, 71, lives in Arizona, where the L.A. Times' Susan Carpenter went to ride with him and talk about his sixth book, 'Let's Ride: Sonny Barger's Guide to Motorcycling, How to Ride the Right Way -- for Life.'
Having logged more than a million miles and suffered only one serious accident, Barger is the rare rider who could write such a book with authority. In fact, 'Let's Ride' is just the latest example of how he has used a marginalized form of transportation to elevate himself from troublemaker to an author who has sold hundreds of thousands of books worldwide. Leading a controversial life in his youth is clearly paying off in old age."

It is understood the Coast is the top area of concern as the city has the biggest number of bikie gangs in the state.
United Motorcycle Council Queensland spokesman Russell Wattie said he also understood police were 'ready to go' against bikies in Queensland.
But he said they would fight any application against them.
'These laws are just going to take away the rights of ordinary Australians,' he said."

motorcycle gang presence in Kern - Bakersfield.com

Police concerned about motorcycle gang presence in Kern - Bakersfield.com: "Mongols, Vagos and Hell's Angels. 'We are trained very well in gang enforcement. Criminal actions will not be tolerated and we will be very proactive.'
He and gang officer Eric Littlefield urged the public to keep a hands-off approach to any sightings of gang members, but to be 'good witnesses' if something does happen.
Their comments follow a May 30 stabbing death in Oildale that sheriff's reports indicate could be a rivalry between the Vagos and the Hell's Angels. Because of that incident and a warning from the sheriff's department, organizers of the annual Bakersfield Thunder Run canceled the June 12 event that was scheduled to begin at the Kern County Fairgrounds.
Aldana and Littlefield revealed for the first time Friday that last year's Thunder Run was marred by 'a tense standoff' between about 20 members each of Hell's Angels and Vagos.
Deputies were present during the standoff and Bakersfield police officers, who had just left the event, returned, Aldana said. The police presence quelled any criminal activity and no arrests were made, he said.
Also, no arrests have been made in the May 30 stabbing death of 18-year-old Roger Anthony Violano and the wounding of Nerl Rinehart in front of the Pirate Tattoo Shop in the 1900 block of North Chester Avenue."
